Simulation of Opening Page Animation

Branding
The filmmaker wanted an eye catching site, with an opening page animation and vintage images of places and characters in the story.
Branding was designed to reflect the film’s visual style using Modern era typography, symbolic imagery, custom icons, with the centerpiece an intricately layered, iconic photomontage of historic Berlin built with Photoshop.

Vintage Photos and Animation
Over 50 vintage photos were prepared for use on the site, by restoring scratched and damaged photographs, editing, removing backgrounds and optimizing them for the web.

Character collage
An animation featuring vintage photos of characters was created by positioning and scaling photos, then animating them using lightweight CSS.
