Snapshots From the End of the World

I believe that what we see isn’t all there is. I try to convey that in my photos by capturing the essence of a place rather than simply how it appears. Like a Japanese Zen garden, my goal is to transport the viewer, not to a miniature world, but to a place they remember, yet have never seen.
In the series I used a Nikon SLR, traditional film and processing. The manipulation of the images is done in the camera rather than the darkroom. The photographs, for the most part, are straightforward prints of the negative.
